Mendip Mists

The southern edge of the Mendip Hills is one of the best places to see the mists across the Somerset Levels.   Easy to reach view points such as the Deerleap picnic site offer great opportunities to see Glastonbury Tor through the mist.

Balloons

Just imaging being in that big red hot air balloon floating over the sea of mist with its island hills.

Sometimes one balloon is not enough.

Alternatively, just sit and watch the view.

And Finally…

This is a old photo taken with a cheap compact camera.  Glastonbury Tor looks like a submarine that has come up to the surface.  Imagine being at the top of the Tor and looking out across the sea.  Thats one of my aims this year.
