Lydford On Fosse
West Lyford
Tucked away in the countryside, out of sight from the busy cross roads of the Fosse Way (aka A37) and the B3153 is the small village of West Lydford.
The River Blue meanders passed the village on its way to the Somerset Levels. The village church sits on the banks of the river. From the old road bridge the church is reflected in the flat water held back by the weir.
The weir on the Brue creates space for open water swimming. The river banks provide space for sun bathing in the hot spring weather.
Red campion is starting to flower bringing bright pink to the hedgerows.
Mayfly and demoiselles fly around.
