Summer Solstice
I cannot believe it is the summer solstice again. Only one place to be – the top of Glastonbury Tor. Apart from from Stonehenge but thats in neighbouring Wiltshire. Maybe one day I will make the journey there.
There is always a crowd at the top of the Tor but for the solstice there are campers too.
This year the solstice aligned with the first day the Glastonbury Festival opens. Across the levels the festival site glows like a small city.
It is so early in the morning, but the crowd was a ready to catch the sunrise.
A stunning summer mist covered the levels. A beautiful time to share with everyone.
And finally…
The sun breaks over a sleeping Glastonbury Festival site surrounded by a sea of mist and under an orange sky.
A few days later I was really lucky to be at the front of the crowd watching Elton John at the festival. Such a contrast and a truly amazing week!
